Coach DeGrazia - Varsity Head Coach
Joe DeGrazia grew up in Edmonds, Washington, and graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School in 2010, where he was a four-year basketball player, team captain, and helped lead the Warriors to back-to-back playoff appearances. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University before beginning his coaching career while completing a graduate degree in Education at University of Washington Bothell.
Coach DeGrazia has coached at Nathan Hale High School, Redmond High School, Lake Washington High School, and Bishop Blanchet High School, where he led the Braves to the second round of the Metro League district playoffs in his lone season as Head Varsity Coach. He is now entering his seventh season at Kamiak High School and already ranks third all-time in wins in program history.
Coach Walsh - Head JV Coach
Nathan Walsh grew up in Seattle and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 2018. He was a three-year basketball player at Hale where he played for Coach DeGrazia in 2015, and a three-sport letterman in Basketball, Soccer, and Golf. He graduated from the University of Redlands in 2022 with degrees in Business, Sociology, and Anthropology. Nathan began coaching at Kamiak in 2023 and hopes to be a part of the program for years to come.
Coach Thomas - Head C-Team Coach
Laphonso Thomas grew up in Kirkland and graduated from Lake Washington High School in 2021. He was a four-year basketball player at Lake Washington, where he played for Coach DeGrazia during the 2018 season. Laphonso currently attends Edmonds College, pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity. He got into coaching through the Kamiak Winter and Summer youth basketball camps, which he has been a part of for the past four years, and began his first season as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2025–26 season. He looks forward to continuing to help grow the program and mentor young athletes.
